Data West is a decision oriented, information exchange about emerging business opportunities in data geared towards senior thought leaders and decision makers. The event covers a wide range of data topics, from large-scale data system architecture and performance, to new ventures in data analytics, cyber-physical systems, AI and machine learning, to smart manufacturing and new technologies such as blockchain.  The conference format combines featured talks, town hall forums, and breakout sessions in selected topics and industry verticals, including science-based industries, genomics and healthcare, fintech, advanced manufacturing, energy, security technologies, IoT and Smart Cities.

Data West 2017 begins with a one day, SDSC Industry and Technology Expo, free to all registered participants, on Wednesday, Dec 13, beginning at 1 PM Pacific. Data West continues on Thursday, Dec 14 and Friday, Dec 15, with its annual, by invitation only Senior Executive Forum.
